Connecting your mobile device

Use the cradle or cable included with your mobile device to connect your device to your desktop computer. The cradle or cable that connects your device might use a USB cable or serial cable. USB cables cannot be used with desktop computers running Microsoft® Windows NT® Workstation 4.0. Serial cables can be used with desktop computers running any type of Windows client operating system.

To create a connection, connect the mobile device to the desktop computer, and then follow the on-screen ActiveSync instructions. For more information, see To connect your mobile device.

To connect to the computer running Windows® Small Business Server by using the modem in your mobile device, see the person responsible for your network.
