Send a fax by using the Send Fax Wizard

To complete this procedure, you must have Windows XP Service Pack 1 installed.

Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, point to Communications, point to Fax, and then click Send a Fax.
Follow the instructions to complete the Send Fax Wizard.

Notes

You can send this fax without a cover page. In the Send Fax Wizard, on the Preparing the page page, clear the Select a cover page template with the following information check box.
To send a fax from your desktop, Fax Mail Transport must be installed. To find out if it is installed: In Outlook, on the Tools menu, click E-mail Accounts. Fax Mail Transport should be listed. If it is not listed, contact the person responsible for your network.
