Got the CCD-V701 which is basically a twin to my V800 handycam except the 700’s slightly bigger and has slightly less features than the 800 which we’re still having fun with as well as other camcorders we bought from you or had you fix. For the record I just call them 700 and 800 for short. In my opinion, it’s devastating to know the 700 won’t be serviced anymore though that’s understandable considering its build quality and what all I’ve heard about it. If I need any newer devices fixed, I’ll be sure to come to you guys. Great job like always bringing this thing back to life. I’ll have lots of fun with it. |

Manny, you are a genius!!! I never thought this machine would be usable again. I WAS a little surprised to see an ERROR 20 come up when attempting to play my first tape. But my room was ice cold in the morning and I figured the machine had just come through icey states and on cold trucks on route to me. But then I tried it again, (after rebooting), and found if I choose Fast Forward rather than Play, and then going to Play, the tape would indeed Play just fine. Many days have gone by and I've done extensive trials with many tapes. It seems temperature has nothing to do with it. I always get an ERROR 20 the first time any tape is inserted. However, if I use the Fast Forward technique and then go to Play.... it plays EVERY time. So I don't mind doing that as long as the machine once again LIVES and plays my tapes. YOU ARE THE SONY DOCTOR and I am so glad to have found you after THREE repair people said it was hopeless!!!! THANX!!!!! |

Got the camera back and it worked like a champion, instantly became our best camcorder we have. So I ended up sending in 7 more camera's to be repaired the very next day. E-mails were very responsive when I had concerns about the status of my order which was very much appreciated.
