My CCD-V5000 Hi8 camcorder became completely unuseable and I was faced with the prospect of having to throw it away due to the lack of vcr repair businesses nowadays. Then I saw the listing on EBay for A-Tech's Hi8 repair service. I figured I had nothing to lose, except the cost of shipping, so I sent the camera to them. I'm really glad I did. Not only were there age-related problems, but a botched repair by its previous owner contributed to the camera's failure. Manny took the extra effort and time required, and fixed the camcorder to like-new functionality. I highly recommend this service to anyone who needs to repair or restore their Hi-8 equipment.

I can't tell you how much I appreciate the miracle you preformed on my TRV-740. It has been performing without fail on old tapes. I have only used the cleaning tape once for 10 seconds. The replacement of that head was the fix and I appreciate your effort.

Why are you not the number one reference from Sony on their website? They referenced another company to me that could not do what you did. As a matter of fact they sent it back to me - parts unavailable. Can't be fixed. WTF?? You did a great job. Carry on.

The camcorder was repaired to operational condition within a reasonable amount of time......once it was "Found" after delivery.

Manny and his company realy know what they are doing when it comes to repairing Sony products. They are very very easy to deal with and their communication with their customers is great. I highly recommend them and I am sending another Sony product for them to repair

I have to tell you, I am very impressed with the service performed on my Sony EV-C100. It runs flawlessly and it was repaired very quickly. I sent it in from California roughly 10 days before Christmas in hopes of getting it back to view old family tapes by Christmas day. No problem. It arrived a couple days before. Manny, The Camcorder seems to work fine. I have used it a few times and it performs well. Thank you for your kind attention to this problem. My video recorder is also working so between the camcorder and video recorder I should be able to move my tapes to discs without problem. The tapes are deteriorating and I need to get this done soon. I appreciate your expertise and will keep you in mind if this unit fails again. thanks! Tom
